How schools were chosen
This website features a selection of school options for elementary and middle school students, as chosen by the Chicago Public Schools Office of Academic Enhancement.
It is in no way intended to represent all of the possibilities for school choice for your child.
However, schools participating in this program and on this website had to meet certain criteria. All of the schools featured on this site:
- are open to students from all across the city via the Options for Knowledge application process;
- have been identified as “high-performing,” based on state and federal guidelines; and
- are projecting that they will have spaces available to students applying for the 2011-2012 school year.
